A lot has been said about how parenting is different than it was when we were kids. In fact, I think the word "parenting," as a verb is rather new. For better or worse, parents are deeply involved in all aspects of their children's lives now, and you can see evidence of it at any park, school, or extracurricular activity. It is Parenting 2.0 out there.
Dana Carvey is one of my favorite comedians of all time, and recently I happened to watch his stand-up act from 2008. It was hilarious and offered my husband and me a much-needed hour of laughter (no one is spared from his funny political impressions (the Al Gore one in this act might be the best).
(The one-and-only Dana Carvey. Party on, Wayne!)
